We invite the community partner(s) to donate their time/resources – or – cover the cost of maintaining our lawn for a quarter or year. This includes mowing our lawn and trimming our hedges 1x per month.
We teach our children to give. If your company has extra food on a Friday, please keep us in mind. If you donate your left over food to us, our children will use it to feed the homeless. No better gift than giving.
The furniture in the children’s bedrooms have not been replaced since the early 1990’s. We are looking into buying new furniture for each of the 5 rooms and have received a per-bedroom quote. We need to raise about$6,000 for the smaller rooms and about $9,000 for the larger bedrooms and are looking for companies/individuals/organizations to sponsor a room.
We are going to turn one of the downstairs bathrooms into an infirmary so that when one child gets sick, the rest of the house isn’t directly affected. This will entail taking out one of the toilets, putting in a shower and drain and adding a cot to the room. We have not received a quote for this project.
